How to get from Sofia to Plovdiv
Plovdiv is the oldest continuously inhabited city in Europe, and it is an hour and a half from Sofia on a good motorway.
We will say it straight away: there is a train and there is a bus, and they are cheap. If you are a couple without big suitcases and your time is flexible, the train does the job and costs a fraction of what a transfer costs.
