How do I get from the plane to the car?

Easily. After landing, leave the arrivals hall at Terminal 1 or Terminal 2, step outside and wait by the three flags. The Top Rent A Car shuttle takes you from there to the main office, about five minutes away. The keys, your SIM and the contract are waiting at the office.

What do I need to bring to pick up the car?

Your physical passport: a photo of it or a digital copy is not accepted at the counter. Also the plastic driver's license card and a credit card in the main driver's name for the deposit hold.

The price depends on the car category, season and rental length. It already includes third party insurance, basic damage and theft cover, the vinetka (road toll sticker), unlimited mileage and VAT. What does the insurance include?

Accepted Answer

Every rental includes third party insurance and basic damage and theft cover: you pay up to the deposit amount, and you need a traffic police report. Top Protection and Premium Protection lower the deposit and cover more, such as tires, glass and a replacement car. Is a driver's license enough?

Accepted Answer

A valid national driver's license in Latin characters is enough for most travelers; an international license is recommended if yours is not in Latin script. You must bring the physical plastic license card: a digital license in an app is not accepted at the counter. The main driver also needs a credit card in their name for the deposit hold.

Can I drive the car to neighboring countries?

Accepted Answer

Rentals are intended for driving inside Bulgaria. Crossing into Greece, North Macedonia, Serbia, Romania or European Turkey is possible only with advance approval from the rental company, for an additional fee and with a double deposit. Let us know and we will arrange it.

How do you avoid scams and false charges?

Accepted Answer

Everything is documented: you get a digital inspection record of the car at pickup, a transparent contract and a receipt for the deposit hold. We also recommend photographing the car before driving off, and if anything ever looks wrong, our team steps in on your behalf.

Are there child safety seats?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Child and booster seats are available, just add them when booking so they are waiting in the car at pickup.

Can the car be picked up or returned outside regular hours?

At the airport branches pickup and return are possible around the clock by prior arrangement; a small after hours fee may apply at city branches. Tell us your flight times and we will coordinate it.

What you need to know about driving in winter and snow?

Accepted Answer

From 1 November to 28 February the cars have winter tires at no extra cost, and the vinetka is always included. Heading to Bansko or the mountains? We recommend a 4×4, and keep an extra 30 minutes of buffer on snowy days.
