How to get from Sofia to Borovets
Borovets is the closest ski resort to Sofia, and that is exactly what makes it the convenient family destination in Bulgaria. An hour and a half from the capital and you are on the slopes.
The trouble starts with the gear. A family of four with suitcases, ski boots and helmets does not fit into a regular taxi, and in winter the mountain road needs a driver who knows it. We have seen enough families order a cheap taxi by phone and find out at the airport that the car was too small.
